“This was our second year at this fabulous home and even if I was the most incredible writer on Earth, words would not encompass the property and overall experience!
The owners are simply put, amazing people, and so attentive to the needs of their tenants you feel as if you are at a luxury resort with a personal concierge. Every need was met and every concern tended to immediately and personally.
The house sits on the bay and is impeccably decorated and the amenities are beyond compare. I went this year with my four children ages 6, 8, 10 and 13 as well as my dad and his beautiful wife. We had stayed there last year so we knew how amazing it was but this year exceeded our experience from last year!
Two of my children were diagnosed with cancer, the oldest in December 2016 and the youngest in February of 2017. In June we received news that both were fully in remission. Summer was going to be chock full of rest and fun and recovery. In July, my youngest daughter Aislin had a Make a Wish granted to Disney and in the first day of our trip my oldest son Sam, who had just recovered from cancer, ruptured his appendix and required emergency surgery. We spent most of July in hospitals and getting tests and missed half of summer!
But…we had Avalon and this house. I was able to invite many of Sam’s friends down for day trips and we really were finally able to relax and restore at this home. I had people visiting every day and caught up with old friends that I had lost touch with during the cancer. I breathed again. It was unforgettable.
This is a home where you are having so much fun you almost forget to go to the beach! We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding and jumping in the bay. We fished from sunrise to sunset and caught about 30 fish a day, conveniently getting bait and the daily fishing report at Hodge Podge across the street. We swam in the pool and sat in the hot tub while listening to our favorite tunes from the cabana. We grilled some nights but others walked across the street to Tonio’s for pizza and one night enjoyed seafood and steak from their sister restaurant, also across the street. There were day trips to Wildwood and Ocean City and good times had with a quick walk to Pirate Island mini golf, Uncle Bills pancake house and the Buccaneer ice cream shop. We hit the arcade on the Avalon boardwalk and also took a trip to Aquapark in nearby Stone Harbor. It was truly a near perfect week. If you are thinking of renting, think no more, this is it.”
